Promise Academy’s Learning Garden is truly a joyful place where our children engage in bountiful learning experiences throughout the year.

Our children receive instruction three times a year from Micro Family Farms, focusing on fall planting, spring planting, and harvesting techniques. During these three sessions, they gain valuable knowledge about the specific plants they are working with, understanding what healthy plants need to thrive, how to properly plant them, and how to successfully harvest their produce. Children are more likely to eat the produce because they planted it! We all enjoy seeing them grazing in the garden as they are out at recess.

Our harvest can even been incorporated into school lunches, and remaining produce can be bagged up for our families to take home, extending the benefits of their learning directly into their households.
